Position: Head – R&D; (BESS / ESS)
Location: Rajpura, Punjab

CTC: 25 LPA onwards, based on experience and expertise

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced R&D; Head – BESS/ESS to lead the Research & Development function for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS).

BESS/ESS experience is mandatory for this position. The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on and leadership experience in Lithium Battery Systems, BESS/ESS, Power Electronics, Lithium Inverter Batteries, system architecture, product development, testing, and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the complete R&D; function for BESS/ESS products, from concept development to prototype and commercialization.
- Drive the design and development of Lithium-based BESS/ESS solutions for various applications.
- Develop and optimize battery packs, energy storage systems, and related power-electronics systems.
- Work on system architecture, electrical design, power conversion, protection, control, and energy management.
- Lead the development and integration of BMS, PCS/Inverter, EMS, and battery systems.
- Oversee prototype development, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and product improvement.
- Ensure BESS/ESS products meet required performance, reliability, safety, and quality requirements.
- Lead technical discussions with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Guide the R&D; team in design, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and product development.
- Drive new product development, technology improvements, cost optimization, and design innovation.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Testing, Purchase,



and other cross-functional teams for successful product commercialization.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, specifications, BOMs, test reports, and product-development records.

Mandatory Experience

- 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Mandatory: Hands-on experience in BESS and/or ESS.
- Strong experience in Lithium Battery Systems / Lithium Inverter Batteries.
- Strong knowledge of Power Electronics and Energy Storage Systems.
- Experience in leading R&D;/Product Development teams.
- Experience in taking products from concept design prototype testing production/commercialization.

Preferred Qualification

- B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or a relevant core engineering field.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a senior technical leader who can independently drive BESS/ESS R&D; and build a strong product-development roadmap. Candidates with proven BESS/ESS product-development experience along with strong Lithium Battery and Power Electronics expertise will be given priority.

Compensation

25 LPA onwards, depending on relevant experience, technical expertise, leadership capability, and BESS/ESS exposure.
