Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
- Measure visual acuity, refractive errors, and binocular vision.
- Prescribe and recommend appropriate spectacles, contact lenses, and vision aids.
- Conduct diagnostic tests including refraction, tonometry, color vision, and visual field assessments.
- Identify signs of eye diseases and refer patients to Ophthalmologists when necessary.
- Assist Ophthalmologists during specialized eye examinations and procedures.
- Educate patients regarding eye health, vision care, and proper use of corrective lenses.
- Maintain accurate patient records and examination reports.
- Operate and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and infection control protocols.
- Participate in vision screening camps and community outreach programs.
- Coordinate with optical services for dispensing spectacles and contact lenses.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Optometry (B.Optom)



or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the relevant professional council as applicable.

Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of optometric procedures and eye care.
- Excellent patient assessment and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using ophthalmic diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Good interpersonal and counselling skills.
- Team-oriented approach and skilled ethics.

Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in a hospital, eye clinic, or optical center preferred.

Working Conditions
- Hospital/clinic-based work environment.
- May participate in vision screening camps and outreach activities.

Requires prolonged periods of patient examination and use of diagnostic equipment

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
