HVAC Operator / HVAC Technician - Job Description (For Freshers)

Location : Chennai

Role Summary

An HVAC Operator / Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems used in buildings, factories, malls, offices, etc. Work is mostly site-based and hands-on.

Key Responsibilities
- Install and Commission HVAC Systems: Help set up AC units, chillers, ventilation fans, ducting, and related equipment.
- Routine Checks & Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance, check filters, belts, wiring and motors to ensure systems run smoothly.
- Troubleshooting: Detect and fix issues such as cooling failures, electrical problems, leaks, or sensor faults.
- Operate HVAC Equipment: Monitor chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and temperature control systems during daily operations.
- Record Keeping:



Log readings like temperature, pressure, runtime, and report on work completed.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working on equipment.

ITI (Any major) / ITI in Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech (preferred)
