Position: Part-Time Teacher

Working Days: 3 Days in a Week (You can decide which 3 days)

Working Hours: 9.30am - 6.30pm

Location: Sector 23, Next to Govt. College of Yoga Education and Health, Chandigarh

Local Language - Punjabi is Mandatory

Major Responsibilities:
[A] Teaching:
- Prepare each child’s baseline and Individual Education Plan and convert it into lesson plans
- Teach children requiring remediation on a one on one situation, as required
- Seek assistance of volunteers to fill gaps in the education sessions/ program
- Maintain regular daily, weekly and monthly plans and prepare reports as needed
- Maintain observations of the children
- Maintain attendance of remediation sessions and regular teaching sessions
- Record and communicate learning outcomes and other relevant information to the supervisor
- Interact with psychologist regarding children’s needs
- Interact with parents regarding their child’s progress and issues if any.
- Prepare a comprehensive write up about the child’s strengths, difficulties and portions covered, before they leave the center,



to be included in the student folder/ leaving certificate.
- Do periodic formative education assessment and summative evaluation and record the same in the child’s folder.
- Maintain detailed student folder (worksheets with comments)
- Coach and equip children to be ready to appear for exams of their relevant standard/ Board exams
- Supervise students’ cleanliness and feeding interventions
- Prepare teaching aids as required
- Carry out periodic follow-up of children, to assess if they are continuing with their education in their hometown and guide them, as needed
- Attend to any additional work asked by the Management.

The Teacher needs to be warm and approachable to the child and the parent. She/ he needs to be prepared and organised to teach their lessons in a explicit and structured way so as to enable students to make progress in every lesson, regardless of each student’s starting point. Teachers
