Key ResponsibilitiesStores & Inventory Management
- Manage receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch of materials as per FIFO / FEFO norms.
- Ensure proper identification, labeling, and safe storage of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile variances.
ERP & Documentation
- Ensure all material transactions are accurately recorded in ERP (GRN, Issue, Transfer, Return, Scrap).
- Generate ERP-based reports for stock status, consumption, and aging.
- Coordinate with accounts for invoice matching and stock valuation.
- Maintain statutory and internal records as per audit requirements.
Coordination & Planning
- Coordinate with Purchase for material availability and follow-up on pending supplies.
- Support Production by ensuring timely material issuance as per production plans.
- Liaise with Quality for material inspection and rejection handling.
- Work closely with Logistics for inward and outward movement of materials.
Compliance & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with ISO / IATF / internal SOPs related to stores operations.
- Maintain 5S and safety standards in the stores area.
- Handle scrap, rejection, and obsolete material as per company policy.
Team Management
- Supervise stores assistants/helpers and allocate daily work.
- Train team members on ERP usage and stores procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Graduate in Engineering, Materials Management, or Supply Chain.
- 5-10 years of experience in stores management in a manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / any Manufacturing ERP).
- Knowledge of inventory control methods, BOMs, and production material flow.
