Job Description - Trainee Engineer (Operations Consulting)

Department: Operations Consulting - RSM Astute Consulting Pvt. Ltd.
Location: Mumbai / As allocated (with client-site travel as required)
Experience: 0-1 year
Qualification: BE / Diploma - Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil

Role Overview

We are looking for motivated Trainee Engineers who want to build a career in Operations Consulting, focusing on process improvement, TPM, TQM, operational excellence, and social compliance assignments.

The role offers hands-on learning and exposure to multi-industry clients, including manufacturing and services.

Key Responsibilities
- Support consultants in ISO certification projects,productivity/improvement and TQM implementation activities and improvement initiatives.
- Participate in audits, assessments and client-site reviews related to operational efficiency and social compliance.
- Collect data, analyse trends, prepare observations, and draft reports.
- Engage in client meetings, factory walkthroughs and on-ground diagnostic studies.




- Maintain project documentation and support internal research and knowledge development.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to project schedules.

Skills & Attributes
- Strong interest in operations, manufacturing systems, and continuous improvement.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel for client assignments.
- Quick learner with a positive, proactive attitude.
