Position: Medical Summarization/Abstraction/Records Reviewer

Roles and responsibilities:
- Review medical records to ensure they are complete, accurate, and in compliance with all guidelines and regulations. This includes verifying the identity of the patient, the dates of service, the diagnoses, the treatments, and the outcomes.
- Identify any potential areas of improvement in the documentation. This may involve recommending changes to the format of the records, the use of medical terminology, or the level of detail provided.
- Summarize medical records for various purposes, such as law enforcement investigations, insurance claims, or research studies. This requires the reviewer to identify the key information in the records and present it in a clear and concise manner.
- Conduct research on medical topics. This may be necessary to understand the terminology used in the records or to identify potential areas of improvement in the documentation.
- Stay up-to-date on changes to medical regulations and standards.



This ensures that reviewers are able to accurately review medical records in accordance with the latest requirements.

In addition to these specific roles and responsibilities, a medical records reviewer should also have the following skills and qualities:
- At least 3 years of experience in Medical Records review
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and regulations
- Ability to identify key information in medical records
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Commitment to quality
