Job Title: Biology Teacher - AS and A Level

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in Biology to students in AS and A Level programs, aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Prepare and execute lesson plans that foster analytical thinking, scientific inquiry, and practical skills.
- Conduct practical laboratory sessions as required by the syllabus (including preparation for Papers 3 & 5).
- Develop schemes of work, instructional materials, and formative/summative assessments.
- Track and evaluate student performance, providing feedback to support academic growth.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and technologies to engage different learning styles.
- Guide students preparing for university placements in life sciences, medicine, and related fields.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and resourceful lab environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues in planning interdisciplinary activities and school science fairs.
- Participate in school events,



parent-teacher meetings, training workshops, and departmental reviews.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent teaching certification is preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience teaching Biology at AS and A Level (Cambridge International preferred).
- In-depth understanding of Cambridge assessment criteria, grading, and exam paper structure.
- Experience in managing Biology labs and demonstrating practical experiments.

Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students toward academic excellence and scientific curiosity.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Classroom, interactive whiteboards, and virtual lab platforms.
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction strategies for wide-ranging student abilities.
