A Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering friendly customer service. The role ensures smooth billing operations and a positive shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers politely and assist them at the billing counter
- Scan products and process sales through the POS system
- Accept payments (cash, card, UPI, wallets) and issue receipts
- Handle cash responsibly and maintain accurate cash balance
- Manage returns, exchanges, and basic customer queries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cash counter
- Follow store policies, pricing, and discount guidelines
- Report discrepancies or system issues to the supervisor

Skills & Qualifications




- Basic math and billing skills
- Familiarity with POS machines and digital payments
- Good communication and customer-handling skills
- Honest, attentive, and well-organized
- Ability to handle busy hours

Experience & Education
- Minimum high school education
- Previous retail or cashier experience preferred (training can be provided)
