Safety In-Charge / Safety Officer — Job Requirements (5-6 Years Experience)

Job Title

Safety In-Charge / Safety Officer / Safety Supervisor

Location - Patna (Near Patuliputra Sports Complex)

Patna (in office at project locations such as construction, infrastructure, civil works)

Experience

5 to 6 years of experience in safety management, especially on construction or project sites (civil, infrastructure, industrial) with a strong track record of implementing safety systems and protocols.

Educational Qualifications

Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in:
Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

Safety Management / Industrial Safety

Safety certifications (highly preferred):
NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA / Industrial Safety Diploma

ISO 45001 Lead Auditor or similar safety qualifications.

Core Responsibilities

✔ Develop and implement site-specific Safety Management Plans (SMP) and policies.

✔ Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHA), and safety audits.

✔ Perform regular site inspections to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions.





✔ Ensure compliance with local safety laws, building codes, and industry safety standards.

✔ Conduct safety training, induction sessions, and toolbox talks for workers and staff.

✔ Investigate and report accidents/near misses, prepare incident reports with corrective action plans.

✔ Monitor effective use of PPE and safety equipment by all site personnel.

✔ Maintain accurate safety documentation, records, registers, and audit logs.

✔ Assist in emergency response planning and conduct fire drills and first-aid readiness.

Skills & Competencies

✔ Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, hazard control, and emergency procedures.

✔ Excellent communication and leadership skills for training and supervising workers.

✔ Competent in preparing reports and documentation for audits and compliance.

✔ Good command of Hindi / English for site coordination (often required).
