We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor (QS) to manage the financial and contractual aspects of our construction projects in Jaipur. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the project remains within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
You will be the "cost guardian" of the project, responsible for everything from initial estimations to final account settlements.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimation & Costing: Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ), rate analysis, and preliminary cost estimates based on architectural and structural drawings.
- Tender Management: Assist in the preparation of tender documents, evaluate subcontractor bids, and provide recommendations for contract awards.
- Cost Monitoring: Track project expenses against the budget throughout the project lifecycle. Identify potential cost overruns early and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Valuations & Variations: Measure and value the work done in office. Manage "Variation Orders"—assessing the cost impact of any changes to the original project scope.
- Contract Administration: Ensure that all project activities comply with the contractual terms. Manage claims, disputes, and final account closures.
- Material Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of major materials (Cement, Steel, etc.) by comparing theoretical consumption against actual site usage.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 8 years specifically in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management in the construction sector.
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering. A Post-Graduation in Quantity Surveying (e.g., RICS or NICMAR) is highly preferred.
