Key Responsibilities:
- Book and dispatch loads efficiently using load boards and broker relationships to maximize truck utilization and revenue
- Coordinate daily dispatch operations, including route planning, pickup, and delivery schedules
- Communicate with drivers to provide load details, directions, and ongoing support during transit
- Perform sales calling to brokers and shippers to secure profitable freight and negotiate competitive rates
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, customers, and carriers
- Track shipments, monitor driver progress, and proactively resolve delays or issues
- Ensure accurate documentation, including rate confirmations, BOLs, and delivery updates
- Monitor market rates and adjust pricing strategies to remain competitive
- Maintain compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and safety requirements
- Update dispatch and load management systems with accurate and timely information
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience (1+ years) as a Dispatcher, in logistics, or a similar role.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think strategically.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
