Job Description: Plant Operator

Experience Required: 3-4 years

Educational Qualification: ITI / Diploma / B.Sc / M.Sc (Regular mode of study) Preferred Industry: Agrochemical, FMCG, Oil, Pesticide, Paints
PURPOSE

The Plant Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of plant processes in the formulation section, ensuring adherence to SHE (Safety, Health, and Setting) and quality standards. The role involves handling plant operations, equipment, safety systems, and production processes while contributing to manufacturing excellence initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety systems like IMS, Permit to Work, Energy Isolation, safety interlocks, and Emergency Response Plans.
- Ensure compliance with SHE guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.

2. Operational Knowledge:
- Operate and monitor DCS (Distributed Control System), SCADA, HMI, and PLC systems.
- Perform plant operations, including raw material charging and ensuring correct formulation processes.
- Knowledge of product and pack changeovers in the plant.

Documentation and Quality Systems:
- Maintain and follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), BMR (Batch Manufacturing Records), and QMS (Quality Management Systems).
- Prevent cross-contamination and ensure quality compliance.

4. Manpower Management:
- Handle and deploy manpower effectively to execute defined tasks.
- Provide guidance and ensure smooth operations during shifts.

5. Manufacturing Excellence:
- Implement TQM/TPM elements such as 5S, Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Daily Work Management (DWM), Kaizen, and Poka Yoke.

6. Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Identify and troubleshoot operational issues to minimize breakdowns and downtime.
- Operate and maintain printing machines like Domino and Video Jet.

7. Technical and System Knowledge:
- Basic operational knowledge of computers and familiarity with SAP/ERP systems.
