Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and neatness of the library and its contents.
- Maintaining stock, accession and issue registers of the library.
- Entering recent books in the accession register after assigning the numbers.
- Arranging books, magazines, etcin the proper place before and after use.
- Framing library rules & regulations and ensuring that everyone follows it.
- Maintaining pin
- drop silence at all times in the library.
- Issuing library books to teachers& children during the school hours.
- Ensuring that books are collected back at the stipulated time.
- Maintaining & repairing torn books.
- Issuing clearance certificate to students and teachers leaving the school.
- Selecting books relevant to the students, teachers & children in general.
- Verification of books annually, counting, taking stock and ensuring that no books are lost or misplaced.
- Forming a literary club or book club In due course and ensuring that maximum students participate.




- Taking library classes as scheduled during these periods ensure that every child/ student carries a dictionary and a library note-book.
- Keeping track of all the subscription and ensure that they are renewed well before time.
- Issuing library cards to all students & teachers and maintaining a record of the card no. class wise.
- Ensuring that all boards in the library are beautifully decorated with relevant themes.
- Preparing requisition for library as and when required.
- Support teachers by recommending resources and assisting with curriculum planning
- Stay up to date with educational technologies and integrate them into library services

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid teaching or librarian certification (state-specific requirements apply)
- Previous experience working in a school or educational institution.
- Proficiency with library management systems and digital research tools
