Key Responsibilities
- Fabric Inspection:
- Check incoming fabrics for defects (holes, stains, color variation, weaving faults)
- Use standard inspection systems like 4-Point System:
- Quality Control:
- Ensure fabric meets buyer specifications and quality standards
- Approve or reject fabric lots based on inspection results
- Testing & Verification:
- Monitor tests such as GSM, color fastness, shrinkage, and pH
- Ensure lab reports and SDS (if chemical-treated fabrics) are available
- Process Monitoring:
- Coordinate with dyeing/processing departments to maintain quality
- Identify and reduce rework and fabric wastage
- Documentation:
- Maintain inspection reports, test results, and quality records
- Prepare daily/weekly quality reports
