Fabric Inspection:
- Inspect incoming and in-process fabrics for defects such as holes, stains, shade variation, misprints, and weaving faults
- Defect Identification:
- Mark defects clearly on fabric rolls
- Segregate acceptable and rejected fabrics
- Measurement & Testing:
- Check fabric width, GSM, shade matching, and shrinkage (if required)
- Verify color consistency against approved samples
- Reporting:
- Record inspection results in log sheets or software
- Prepare daily inspection reports and defect summaries
- Handling & Storage:
- Ensure proper handling to avoid damage during inspection
- Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of checked fabrics
- Coordination:
- Inform supervisors about major defects or quality issues
- Work closely with production and dyeing teams for corrections
