To manage the tax and zakat function responsible for delivering high quality tax structuring, consulting, and compliance services to all ACWA Power bids and projects, to ensure thorough evaluation of tax options and maintain highest level of tax efficiency, whilst complying with all concerned tax-related laws, and regulations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

TAX strategy, objectives, and budget
- Contribute to the definition of the FINANCE key inputs to the overall AP strategy as well as to setting the objectives and the budget for the FINANCE enabling function at AP Group level
- Provide the key TAX-related inputs to the BUs business plans
- Implement the objectives for the Tax unit in coherence with the overall FINANCE enabling function strategic priorities
- Manager the annual budget for the TAX unit (capex / opex / KPIs) and monitor the performance

TAX unit Organization and management
- Contribute to the definition of the FINANCE enabling function organization at Corporate level
- Contribute to the TAX unit organization, the required profiles, staffing, job descriptions and KPI’s




- Contribute to the process outsourcing initiative across Corporate, BUs & Project Companies
- Manage resources to BU BD/BU Corp TAX unit initiatives and manage the workload
- Propose and implement continuous improvement programs for the TAX unit
- Manage the BU BD/BU Corp TAX unit resources: nomination, objective setting, development, appraisal.
- Develop and nurture the pipeline of talent within the TAX function

AP TAX policies
- Assist in implementing Group wide policies, frameworks, manuals and formats for tax reporting, tax optimization, transfer pricing policy, recurrent tax activities and external tax audits for approval by the CFO/MC
- Adherence to any specific tax policies, frameworks, and formats at Region level
- Implement or Roll out of Group-wide tax policies, framework and formats and ensure compliance
- Monitor developments in tax law and practice and best practice in tax struc
