Chief Business Officer — Stock Broking

The CBO owns the broking business end-to-end — from the first AP signed to a scaled, profitable book — across people, process, technology, compliance, risk, and revenue.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Business & P&L;
Own the full P&L; of the broking business — revenue, cost, margins, and unit economics — from licence to a scaled, running book
Set the business strategy, annual targets, and growth roadmap, and own delivery against them
Track and optimise the core economics: cost of acquisition, revenue per client and per AP, activation rates, and contribution margin
2. Direct Business
Drive the direct-to-client business: retail and HNI acquisition, activation, and retention
Build the direct sales and relationship management engine, and own its productivity and conversion metrics
Own the cross-sell motion across the group — converting broking clients into mutual fund, insurance, and pre-IPO clients
3. AP Business
Build, onboard,
and scale the Authorized Person (AP)/partner distribution network nationally
Use pre-IPO/unlisted securities as the wedge to win APs away from incumbent brokers
Design AP payout structures, brokerage plans, and incentive schemes, and manage AP economics end-to-end
Own AP engagement, enablement, and retention, and continuously sharpen positioning against discount and AP-channel brokers
4. Team Management
Build, lead, and mentor the full business org — direct sales, AP/channel, and relationship management teams
Set the org structure, hiring plan, KRAs, and performance culture
Develop second-line leadership and build a team that scales with the business
5. Process
Establish and own end-to-end business processes — client and AP onboarding, KYC, activation, servicing, and grievance handling
Drive operational efficiency, turnaround times, and a consistent client and partner experience
Build the reporting and MIS cadence that gives leadership real-time
