Petrochemical Analyst, South Asia (India – Remote)
The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) is seeking a Petrochemicals Analyst in India. This role will focus on the economic, financial and market aspects of the petrochemical industry in India and assist the team in accelerating a just transition from oil and gas in alignment with climate commitments, with an immediate freeze on the build-up of petrochemical infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced economics and financial qualified with sound knowledge of the petrochemical sector in India with preferred hands-on experience in financial analysis. They would be self-motivated, able to work independently, able to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines with limited direction while working remotely. They must also possess a commitment to IEEFA’s mission to accelerate the transition to a diverse, sustainable and profitable energy economy.

Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct research on the agrochemicals and textiles sectors within the petrochemical industry
Conduct research on banks and financial mechanisms of the petrochemical industry
Conduct horizon scanning for petrochemical industry developments by reviewing articles, annual reports, investor presentations, and industry publications related to the industry
Prepare forecasts and analysis of trends in the Indian agrochemical and textile sectors within the petrochemical
