Summary As a
Lead Engineer – Control & Protection at GE Vernova Grid
Solutions, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing,
and optimizing protection relay systems for EHV/HV substations
considering the safety/quality/Cost/time delivery criteria. Your
expertise will ensure the reliability and efficiency of power
systems, supporting our global operations across various
regions.
This role involves in leading the secondary
engineering activities (Control & Protection, Substation
Automation Systems, Interface Engineering, Telecom Requirements
& LV Auxiliary Systems for EHV/HV Electrical Substations (AIS /
GIS / HVDC / FACTS / STATCOM / Onshore / Offshore /
Renewable/etc.,)
The candidate shall execute with
association of workgroups, where applicable, in order to meet
assigned objectives. In this role, the candidate will work within
defined parameters to draw conclusions, apply concepts to issues of
moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or
short-term planning. The candidate will work with GSI Global
Engineering Center (GSI GEC)



to coordinate with the GSI Regions /
Business Lines / as per Project requirement.Job

Specific
Role
Requirements: Design
and prepare Engineering drawings (SLD/KLD/PSLD/CRP) as per project
requirement in anyone of E-CAD Tool (Ex. Engineering Base
software/E-Plan/ Auto CAD Electrical/equivalent) for up to 400/765k V
Substations. Design/Review the Substation
automation system based on IEC61850 &
interconnections. Review BOQ and Network
drawings of PLCC/FOTE engineering and need to interface between CRP
& SAS with Telecom Equipment. Review
equipment drawings of major Substation Equipment for AIS / GIS like
Circuit breakers, Isolators, Earth switches, CSD, PDM,
Transformers/Reactors & associated Conditional Monitoring
Devices etc., Perform CT and VT and its sizing
calculations. Design and Review the
control/Power cable engineering in
substations. Design the LV
