Windchill MPMLink Architect / Analyst
Birlasoft is looking for Windchill MPMLink Architect / Analyst who will own the functional and solution architecture of Manufacturing PLM using PTC Windchill MPMLink, while also acting as the lead business analyst for manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment with manufacturing best practices and PLM standards
- Lead requirement‑gathering workshops with Manufacturing, Engineering, and other teams
- Analyze AS‑IS and TO‑BE manufacturing processes:
- Define functional requirements for the business processes to be implemented
- Own end‑to‑end MPMLink solution design, including: Manufacturing BOM (MBOM) architecture, EBOM → MBOM associativity and transformation rules, Plant / site‑specific manufacturing views
- Define OOTB vs configuration/customization strategy for MPMLink
- Drive defect triage and validation sign‑off
- Define functional requirements for MPMLink integration with ERP / MES
- Conduct user training, demos, and adoption support for manufacturing users
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands‑on experience with PTC Windchill MPMLink
- Deep understanding of: Manufacturing BOM (MBOM), EBOM‑MBOM transformation, Process Plans, Operations, and Resources
- Experience working with PDMLink + MPMLink together
- Strong knowledge of: Windchill data model and manufacturing objects, Manufacturing Change Management, ERP publishing scenarios from MPMLink
- Ability to define solution architecture while remaining hands‑on in functional analysis
- Typically 8–12+ years of PLM experience with significant MPMLink exposure
- Experience in Manufacturing / Automotive / Industrial / Aerospace domains strongly preferred
Windchill Technical Architect
Birlasoft is looking for Windchill Technical Architect who will be responsible for defining, governing, and delivering the technical architecture for PTC Windchill PLM solutions across implementation, upgrade, migration, integration, and enhancement programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end‑to‑end technical architecture for Windchill PLM programs
- Define architecture covering: Windchill system landscape (App, DB, File Vaults, Clusters), Data model, objects, lifecycles, workflows, and access controls, Customization vs OOTB strategy
- Ensure solutions are PTC‑compliant and upgrade‑friendly
- Provide technical direction to Developers, Functional Consultants, and Migration teams
- Review and approve: Technical design documents, Customization approaches and integrations, Migration and upgrade strategies
- Conduct architecture and code reviews to ensure quality and performance
- Architect and govern: Windchill customizations (Actions, Validators, Workflows, UI), Integrations using REST/OData, Info*Engine, ESI, middleware
- Define performance, scalability, and security standards
- Troubleshoot complex production and integration issues
- Define upgrade and migration architecture (Windchill → Windchill / non‑Windchill → Windchill)
- Ensure customizations are compatible with newer Windchill versions and Windchill+
- Support architecture decisions for rehost and cloud (AWS/Azure) deployments
- Lead technical discussions and architecture workshops with customer IT and business stakeholders
- Explain architectural decisions, trade‑offs, and risks to non‑technical audiences
- Support UAT sign‑off, go‑live readiness, and hypercare stabilization
Required Skills & Experience
- Deep hands‑on expertise with PTC Windchill PLM
- Strong experience across multiple Windchill modules: PDMLink (mandatory), MPMLink / Change Management / PartsLink / ProjectLink (as applicable)
- Solid understanding of: BOM, Part, Document, and Change management, CAD integrations and publishing
- Strong experience with: Windchill Java APIs and customization framework, REST/OData services, Info*Engine, Oracle / SQL Server databases
- Ability to design and review high‑scale Windchill architectures
- Experience defining security, performance, and availability standards
- Typically 12–18+ years of PLM experience with senior Windchill architectural ownership

Windchill Process/Principal Consultant
Birlasoft is looking for Windchill Process Consultant who will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing PLM business processes in PTC Windchill, ensuring alignment between engineering, manufacturing, quality, and enterprise IT teams.
Location: Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Noida
Key Responsibilities
PLM Process Analysis & Design
- Lead AS‑IS and TO‑BE process workshops with business stakeholders
- Analyze and design Windchill processes for: Part, BOM, and Document Management, Change & Configuration Management, Release and approval workflows
- Translate business processes into clear functional requirements and solution proposals
- Provide functional guidance across Windchill modules such as: PDMLink Change Management, BOM & Configuration Management, ProjectLink / PartsLink (as applicable)
- Recommend OOTB vs configuration vs customization approaches
- Work with technical teams to validate and refine functional feasibility
- Validate process implementation during SIT and UAT
- Support functional defect triage and resolution
- Support organizational change management from process perspective
- Prepare and validate: User process flows, Training material and SOPs
- Conduct user walkthroughs, demos, and UAT supports
- Ensure business readiness for go‑live
- Support process impact analysis for: Windchill upgrades, Data migration programs
- Validate migrated data from process correctness perspective
- Assist in stabilization and hypercare support
Required Skills
- Strong experience as a PLM / Windchill Process or Functional Consultant
- Deep understanding of: Engineering change processes, Configuration & release governance, Product structure and BOM management
- Ability to convert business processes into functional specifications
- Strong hands‑on exposure to PTC Windchill
- Experience working with PDMLink (mandatory)
- Exposure to MPMLink, PartsLink, or Supplier Management (SUMA) is a plus
- Typically 6–12 years of experience in PLM / Windchill programs

ERP PLM integration
Technical PLM–ERP Process Expert (Windchill PLM → SAP ERP)
Location : Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Noida, Pune.
Our IT team "ERP Interface" is looking for an experienced Technical PLM–ERP Process Expert to help drive the further development of our interface solution between Windchill PLM and SAP ERP.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with our customers, the Windchill software development team, the SAP MM development team, and our external interface solution provider. Your work ensures smooth, reliable, and scalable PLM–ERP processes across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Plan and drive enhancements to the PLM–ERP interface
- Align technical and business requirements with customers and internal stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into clear technical process descriptions
- Implement requirements yourself or hand them over to developers
- Test, validate, and document technical solutions

Technical Qualifications (Required)

- Deeper knowledge with JAVA Docker or Ansible
