ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assess the current state of the customer IT Estate to be able understand the gaps from the target required state.

Design the target solution, Target Operating model, Service and Commercial models

•Engages in the application of best practices per technical documentation and provides solutions based on diagnosis of the problem

•Co-ordinate with Quality Managers to ensure that all required processes and procedures are followed and deviations/exceptions are documented properly.

•Follow, maintain and update Engineering standards for design, deployment and operation of vCenter Infrastructure.

•Maintain current knowledge of the entire virtualization product line.

•Responsible for configuration, validation, qualification and administration of Virtualization Platforms.

•Responsible for Level 4 support of all technical issues related to virtualized Infrastructure.

•Organize and coordinate the activities associated with installation, deployment, and upgrade or repairs to Virtualization Platforms and related infrastructure.

•Consult with and make recommendations to Architecture Team, Service Manager, and Project Teams deploying applications in the Private Cloud Virtualization environment.

•Design, coordinate and execute migrations to Private Cloud Platforms.

•Migration of VM's from on premise to cloud

•Be part of the Windows team responsible for day-to-day operations/escalation point for Active Directory, DNS, and Office 365 mail configuration, sending & receiving issue, Plesk & Website Panel, and Database Servers.

•Installation and Configuration of the IIS web server & Application Request Routing.





•Installation and Configuration of Database Server in SQL Mirroring & Log Shipping.

•L3+ escalation for Platform Issue resolution, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, configuration & tuning of production and lower-level environments.

•Deeper knowledge of Virtualization technologies VMware & Hyper V & Xen.

•Troubleshooting AD, DNS, DFS, GPO issues/errors and proactively taking appropriate corrective actions.

•Monitoring system performance and capacity of Windows and VMware environment.

•Supports the design, analysis, development and implementation of IIS Projects.

•Provides infrastructure support for IIS from development through production for multiple versions

•Work experience on VMware ESXi 5.X, 6.X & 7.0 & 8.0 setting.

•Installation & Configuration of VMware ESXi host & vCenter.

•Virtualization project SOW preparation. Execution of project.

•Find RCA & solution for repeated & escalated issues.

•Managing and troubleshooting HA and DRS environment.

•Managing and troubleshooting on VMware vMotion, Storage vMotion, High Availability, DR

•Deploy virtual machines, use clones, snapshots, templates

•Managing and troubleshooting standard switch & distributed virtual switch.

•Managing Virtual Machine Snapshots

•Troubleshooting with the help of VMware Logs & vCenter logs

•Troubleshooting on VMware performance issue with commands

•Troubleshooting experience on vCenter performance counter

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

•Experience working in a technical service-oriented position

•Microsoft, VMware and Security Certifications

•ITIL Certification

•Cloud Certification if any
