About the Role

We are looking for a driven and versatile Video Journalist to join our newsroom in Delhi. You will be responsible for shooting, and editing compelling video stories across news, features, and current affairs.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working both in the field and on the desk, can turn around stories on tight deadlines, and has a strong news sense combined with visual storytelling skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Shoot high-quality video content in the field, including interviews, B-roll, and live events
- Edit raw footage into polished, broadcast/digital-ready video packages using industry-standard editing software
- Cover live events, press conferences, and breaking news as required, including on short notice
- Collaborate with reporters, editors, and the social media team to adapt content for different platforms (YouTube, Instagram, website, etc.)
- Manage and maintain camera and audio equipment

Requirements





- 0–5 years of experience in video journalism, broadcast news, or digital video content creation
- Experience with mobile journalism (MoJo) techniques
- Proficiency in shooting with DSLR/mirrorless cameras or professional camcorders
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics or animation (After Effects)
- Hands-on experience with video editing software (Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar)
- Familiarity with social-first video formats (Reels, Shorts)
- Sound understanding of news judgment, storytelling structure, and pacing
- Ability to work independently in the field and handle last-minute assignments
- Willingness to travel within Delhi-NCR and occasionally outside for stories
- A bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field is preferred
- A strong portfolio/showreel of previous video work is required
