Role Description The Video Editor & Cinematographer will be responsible for planning, shooting, and editing video content that showcases DIC’s programs, projects, and community. Day-to-day tasks include capturing high-quality footage on-site, setting up lighting and audio equipment, collaborating with educators and students to develop visual storytelling concepts, and editing videos for digital and social platforms.



The role also involves color grading, basic motion graphics integration, and preparing final outputs optimized for various channels.

This is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai, requiring close coordination with the creative and academic teams to maintain consistency with DIC’s brand and educational mission.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production, including camera operation, lighting, and sound recording.
- Candidates should possess solid skills in Video Editing, with proficiency in industry-standard editing software.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Color Grading, with an eye for visual consistency and mood.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to enhance storytelling and visual impact.
- Relevant experience in educational, documentary, or creative content production is beneficial.
- Strong visual storytelling abilities, attention to detail, and a portfolio showcasing video work are required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, manage deadlines, and work on-site in Mumbai.
- A diploma or degree in Film, Media, Visual Communication, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if supported by demonstrable experience.
