About the Role
Lotus Wireless Technologies India Private Limited is hiring a Program Engineering Manager to lead end-to-end development of medium to high complexity power electronics products — rectifiers, power converters, megawatt chargers, battery management systems, EV chargers and energy storage systems — within a structured 180-day product realisation cycle, from approved specification through to validated engineering release. This is a senior leadership role for an engineer who has spent 18+ years shipping certifiable power electronics products and now wants real architectural sign-off authority, hiring authority and certification ownership over a high-trust product portfolio, leading 20–30 engineers across power-stage, magnetics, thermal, control/firmware, integration and validation.
What You Will Do
- Own architecture and the complete 180-day development lifecycle — requirements freeze, topology selection, prototyping, V&V;, certification, and NPI handoff to manufacturing.
- Lead, hire, mentor and grow a multi-disciplinary team of 20+ engineers across power-stage, magnetics, thermal, control/firmware, integration, EMC, and validation.
- Establish and audit engineering governance — design reviews, KPIs, risk registers, defect triage and configuration management aligned to safety, EMC, and grid-code standards.
- Lead programs through formal safety, EMC, and regulatory certification audits (CPRI, TÜV, UL, Intertek, BIS, ARAI, ICAT, as applicable).
- Own make-vs-buy decisions, supplier qualification, BOM cost engineering and NRE budget management, and represent engineering with customers, suppliers,
contract manufacturers, and certification agencies.
- Own technology roadmap input — wide-bandgap (SiC/GaN) adoption, digital control modernisation, grid-connected converter capability, and cybersecurity for connected power assets.
What We Are Looking For
- 18+ years in power electronics product development, with at least two complete product cycles — concept to certified production release — as the accountable engineering owner.
- At least one program personally driven through a formal safety, EMC, or regulatory certification audit (IEC 62477/62109/61851/62040/61800-5, UL 1741/2202, ISO 26262, AIS 156, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated leadership of teams of 20+ engineers across power-stage, magnetics, thermal, control/firmware, integration, EMC, and validation disciplines.
- Robust power-stage hardware and control architecture fluency (digital control on TI C2000 / AURIX / RH850 / Cortex-M), with hands-on magnetics design and EMC remediation experience (CISPR 11/22/32).
- B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electronics, or Instrumentation (M. Tech / M.S. preferred); functional safety certification (TÜV FSE/FSEng), AUTOSAR or cybersecurity exposure (IEC 62443 / ISO-SAE 21434) strongly preferred.

What Success Looks Like
Validated product release within 180 days, repeatable across programs • >70% of defects caught at or before V&V; entry • schedule variance under 10% on a rolling 12-month basis • first successful certification audit completed under your tenure.
