- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Teradata database environments
- Perform database administration including user management, security, roles, and access control
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and resource usage (CPU, spool, disk, AMP)
- Analyze and tune SQL, workloads, and query performance using Teradata tools
- Manage space allocation, data distribution, and skew resolution
- Implement and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide production support (L2/L3)
- Apply best practices for data protection, compliance, and auditing
- Work with development, analytics, and business teams on database design and optimization
- Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts and scheduling tools
- Support data migrations, archiving, and platform modernization initiatives
- Maintain database documentation, standards, and operational runbooks
