About the RoleWe are looking for a Telematics System Validation Engineer with strong experience in automotive testing and connected vehicle technologies.

In this role, you will be responsible for validating telematics and connected vehicle features across bench, HIL, laboratory vehicle, prototype, and vehicle environments. You will work on end-to-end validation of features involving the vehicle ECU/TCU, mobile applications, backend systems, and cloud platforms.

The role is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on testing, vehicle network analysis, diagnostics, debugging, and solving complex system-level issues.

What You’ll Do

- Analyze system requirements, feature specifications, interface documents, and use cases.
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, validation scenarios, and regression suites.
- Prepare Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) and validation reports.
- Validate connected vehicle and telematics features such as:
- eCall / bCall
- Remote vehicle operations
- OTA updates
- Vehicle health and status
- Connected services
- GPS/GNSS
- LTE/4G/5G
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth
- Perform system, integration, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Execute validation across bench, HIL, lab car, prototype, and vehicle environments.
- Validate data flow across ECU → TCU → Mobile App → Backend → Cloud.
- Analyze automotive network communication using CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, TCP/IP, LIN, UDS, DoIP, and OBD-II.
- Analyze diagnostic logs, DTCs, network traces, and system logs.
- Reproduce issues and perform debugging and root cause analysis.
- Participate in defect triage and collaborate with development, systems, supplier, and customer teams to drive issues to closure.




- Develop and maintain test automation using Python and CAPL.
- Contribute to improving test coverage, automation, and overall validation efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of experience in automotive testing/validation
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in telematics, connected vehicles, infotainment, ECU or TCU validation
- Strong experience with requirement-based testing and system validation
- Hands-on experience with Vector CANoe and/or CANalyzer
- Strong understanding of:
- CAN / CAN FD
- Automotive Ethernet
- TCP/IP
- UDS
- DoIP
- OBD-II
- DTC analysis
- Experience with vehicle diagnostics and network troubleshooting
- Experience testing LTE/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/GNSS
- Experience with bench, HIL, lab car and/or vehicle-level validation
- Programming/scripting experience with Python and CAPL
- Strong defect debugging, RCA and issue-triage skills
- Good understanding of test documentation, traceability and validation reporting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
