Role Description Technicians for our laboratories in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering will support day-to-day operations across engineering and science labs by preparing equipment, setting up experiments, and assisting faculty and learners during practical sessions.

Responsibilities include maintaining and calibrating laboratory instruments, monitoring inventory of supplies, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and reporting any equipment issues or maintenance needs. Technicians will help implement quality control procedures, keep accurate records of lab usage and materials,



and contribute to a clean, organised, and compliant laboratory environment. This is a full-time, on-site role based at B.S.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including hands-on experience as laboratory technicians and familiarity with standard lab procedures.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of laboratory equipment, including operation, basic troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
- Candidates should possess quality control and analytical skills to support accurate experimentation, data integrity, and compliance with safety standards.
- Relevant diploma in engineering from a recognised institution.
- Understanding of laboratory safety guidelines and willingness to follow institutional policies and procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, learners, and other staff, with transparent communication and a service-oriented approach.
- Prior experience in academic or research laboratories is beneficial.
