Job Purpose:

The Sr. Data Engineer (Individual Contributor) will write queries for data extraction, perform UAT testing, and attend critical meetings.

Provide MIS support.

Deliver data/MIS/extracts to various units including Operations, Finance, and Regulatory functions.

Handle general SQL queries/output from different system databases like Flexcube, Lasersoft, FinOne, Debos, RAM, BASEL.

Ensure proper change management in MIS applications, utilities, and tools used by the team.

Interface with user/business groups such such as Operations, Product, Branch Banking, Audit for MIS requirements.

Understand the diverse source systems of HDFC Bank across its Asset, Liability, and Card businesses.

Conduct error tracking, bug fixes, and UAT testing of applications developed by the IHA team for data extraction.

Prepare daily/weekly/fortnightly/monthly MIS using Tableau.

Prepare scheduler shell scripts.

Fine-tune MIS queries.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide data/MIS/extracts to various units, including Operations, Finance, and Regulatory functions.





Execute general SQL queries/output from system databases like Flexcube, Lasersoft, FinOne, Debos, RAM, BASEL.

Ensure proper change management in MIS applications, utilities, and tools.

Interface with user/business groups (Operations, Product, Branch Banking, Audit) for MIS requirements.

Understand HDFC Bank's diverse source systems across Asset, Liability, and Card businesses.

Perform error tracking, bug fixes, and UAT testing for data extraction applications developed by the IHA team.

Prepare daily/weekly/fortnightly/monthly MIS using Power BI/Tableau.

Prepare scheduler shell scripts.

Fine-tune MIS queries.

Ensure data submission within Turnaround Time (TAT).

Ensure UAT tests are performed and evidence is collected.

Review MIS before publication.

Educational Qualifications:

BE / BTech / BSc. (Any Stream) / BCA / MCA

Key Skills:

Strong Technical / Programming knowledge

Robust knowledge of SQL/PLSQL

Good Analytical skills

Risk management

Software Development Life Cycle management skills

Experience Required:

8 to 11 years

Exposure to banking is preferable
