Team Lead S2C, EMEIA – Indirect

About the job

As the Team Lead S2C, EMEIA - Indirect, you will lead a team of Sourcing Specialists based at Nouryon’s Mumbai, India office, while driving procurement excellence across multiple business functions and manufacturing sites. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective execution of sourcing and procurement strategies, delivering measurable cost savings and business value, maintaining compliance with procurement policies and providing data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making.

Serving as a critical link between Procurement, Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Finance and Business Leadership, you will play a key role in optimizing third-party spend, enhancing supplier performance, strengthening procurement governance and advancing continuous improvement initiatives. In your future role as Team Lead S2C, EMEIA - Indirect you will

Leadership & Team Development

- Lead, coach and develop a team of Sourcing Specialists to deliver procurement, service and business objectives.
- Establish clear performance expectations, key metrics, development plans and succession strategies to build a high- performing organization.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and customer centric service excellence.
- Promote employee engagement, capability development and knowledge sharing across the team.

Strategic Sourcing & Spend Management

- Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies aligned with business priorities, operational requirements and procurement objectives.
- Identify and capture cost optimization opportunities through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, demand management and value engineering initiatives.
- Analyze spend data, market intelligence and industry trends to uncover sourcing opportunities, improve competitiveness and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Manage sourcing pipelines and proactively prioritize high-impact initiatives that maximize business value and stakeholder outcomes.

Procurement Operations Excellence

- Drive the standardization,



simplification and automation of procurement processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead initiatives to improve sourcing cycle times, service levels and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, internal controls and governance requirements.
- Champion the “No PO, No Pay” program and other governance initiatives to reduce after-the-fact purchasing, improve spend visibility and increase procurement leverage.
- Promote best practices and operational discipline across sourcing and procurement activities.

Analytics & Reporting

- Own procurement performance reporting and KPI management across supported functions and sites.
- Develop executive-level dashboards, reports and insights using SAP, Power BI, Tableau and other analytics tools.
- Monitor, analyze and communicate key performance indicators, including: savings realization, sourcing cycle time, SLA compliance, supplier performance, spend under management, after-the-fact PO activity and procurement workload & capacity metrics.
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations that support informed decision-making, performance improvement and risk mitigation.

Stakeholder & Supplier Management

- Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain and other business functions.
- Conduct regular business reviews to identify sourcing opportunities, assess risks and evaluate procurement performance.
- Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, service excellence, cost competitiveness, innovation and supply continuity.
- Support supplier performance management, issue resolution and risk mitigation activities to drive long-term value and reliability.

Continuous Improvement

- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance procurement effectiveness through process optimization, digital solutions and automation.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on operational excellence, cost reduction and value creation.
- Drive the adoption of procurement best practices across sourcing, contracting, supplier management and procure-to-pay processes.
- Foster continuous improvement mindset by challenging existing practices and implementing sustainable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

- 7+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Category Management, Manufacturing Operations, Maintenance, or a related function.




- 3+ years of people leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
- Proven experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or plant operations environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP, Ariba, Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience developing, managing, and reporting procurement performance metrics and KPIs to senior leadership.
- Comprehensive knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier performance management, and procurement governance.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
- Proven success leading process improvement, operational excellence, and change management initiatives.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with cost modeling, value creation, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across global, regional, and cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance or related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

- Professional certification such as CPSM, CPSD, CSCP, or equivalent.
- Experience within the chemical, process, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Experience supporting maintenance, MRO, engineering services, capital projects, and other indirect procurement categories.
- Knowledge of procurement digitalization, automation technologies, and emerging procurement tools.
- Experience leveraging analytics and digital solutions to improve procurement performance, compliance, and stakeholder outcomes.
