About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated RF and optical communication engineer to join our dynamic team at Vistance Networks. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and optimizing complex communication architectures that span RF and optical domains. Your expertise will help us develop innovative solutions for optical fiber transport systems, RF link budgets, and interference mitigation strategies.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product lifecycle management, and engineering to ensure seamless system integration and performance excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of global connectivity, leveraging your technical skills to shape next-generation communication networks.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a robust foundation in optical communications, RF system design, and analog optical transport. Proficiency in Microsoft Visio is essential for creating clear engineering diagrams, alongside advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and system modeling.



A thorough understanding of analog system design concepts and performance metrics is required, complemented by excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical skills.

Experience in database design and structuring engineering data within relational databases is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with VBA scripting to automate workflows, as well as scripting experience using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools for modeling and automation, is preferred. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end communication system architecture and be capable of working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

- Design, model, and validate RF communication architectures, including link budgets, modulation schemes, and interference mitigation strategies.
- Support the design and analysis of optical communication pathways, including fiber-based analog transport systems, ensuring high fidelity and low noise performance.
- Evaluate and optimize analog signal paths across RF and optical domains to achieve desired performance metrics.
- Create detailed block diagrams, system schematics, and workflow documentation using Microsoft Visio to facilitate clear communication of system designs.
- Develop and maintain engineering spreadsheets for calculations, data analysis, and system modeling using Microsoft Excel, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, PLM,



and Engineering to ensure seamless integration and deployment of communication systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting and performance testing, documenting findings to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage in research and development activities to stay abreast of emerging technologies and incorporate innovations into existing systems.
- Contribute to project planning, timelines, and technical reviews to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
