About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled RF and optical communication systems engineer to join our dynamic team at Vistance Networks. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and optimizing complex communication architectures that span RF and optical domains. Your expertise will support the development of innovative solutions for fiber-based analog transport systems and wireless communication links.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the seamless integration of system components, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, reliable communication infrastructure. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a robust foundation in optical and RF communication systems, with demonstrated proficiency in system modeling, design, and analysis.



Advanced skills in Microsoft Visio and Excel are essential for creating detailed diagrams and performing complex data analysis.

Experience with database structuring and automation using VBA, alongside scripting capabilities in Python or MATLAB, will be highly valued. A comprehensive understanding of analog system design principles, performance metrics, and troubleshooting techniques is required. Candidates should also have experience in designing end-to-end communication system architectures, with a focus on fiber optics, optical components, and analog optical transport systems.

Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills are vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Design, model, and validate RF communication architectures, including link budgets, modulation schemes, and interference mitigation strategies.
- Support the design and analysis of optical communication paths, focusing on fiber-based analog transport systems and optical components.
- Evaluate and optimize analog signal paths to ensure low-noise, high-fidelity performance across RF and optical domains.
- Create comprehensive block diagrams, system schematics, and workflow documentation utilizing Microsoft Visio to facilitate clear communication of system designs.
- Develop and maintain engineering spreadsheets for calculations, data analysis, and system modeling, leveraging advanced Excel functionalities.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM),



and Engineering to ensure seamless system integration and project delivery.
- Conduct troubleshooting and performance analysis to identify system bottlenecks and implement improvements.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, test results, and engineering processes to support ongoing development and compliance requirements.
- Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and technical reviews to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
