Role Description The Staff Nurse role at Motherhood in Chandigarh is a full-time, on-site position focused on delivering secure, evidence-based nursing care to women, newborns, and children.

The Staff

Nurse will perform daily assessments of patients, monitor vital signs, administer medications and treatments, and assist physicians during examinations, procedures, labour, and delivery.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, preparing and managing equipment, and ensuring infection control and safety standards are consistently followed.

postnatal care, breastfeeding, and pediatric health. The role also involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and supporting smooth functioning of the ward, labour room, and related units.

Qualifications

- Registered Nurse qualification with a GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution; valid nursing council registration.
- Clinical experience in obstetrics, gynecology, labor and delivery, neonatal care, or pediatric nursing in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong patient assessment, medication administration, and care planning skills, with attention to detail and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Knowledge of infection control, safety procedures, and use of hospital equipment and technology relevant to maternity and pediatric care.
- Effective communication and counseling skills to support patients and families, including the ability to explain treatment and post-care instructions clearly.
- Ability to work in rotating shifts, manage multiple patients, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
