Overview

Sr. Software Engineer role focused on designing and delivering scalable, secure, highly available cloud-native solutions on AWS. The position includes building distributed Python applications, designing APIs/microservices/event-driven architectures, and leading cloud migration/modernization using AWS Well-Architected Framework. The role also involves MLOps platform architecture (e.g., SageMaker/Kubeflow/MLflow), CI/CD/DevOps practices, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, highly available cloud-native solutions on AWS

- Architect and manage machine learning platforms and MLOps pipelines (AWS SageMaker, Kubeflow, MLflow)
- Build and maintain distributed applications using Python (Flask, Django, AsyncIO)
- Design and develop APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures for enterprise-scale applications
- Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives using AWS Well-Architected Framework principles
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices to improve delivery speed and reliability
- Integrate applications with messaging/streaming platforms (Kafka,



RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS)
- Monitor and optimize production system health/performance/availability; implement alerting and recovery strategies
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, data scientists, and engineering teams across global locations
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and provide technical mentoring
- Create technical documentation, standards, and best practices for cloud/software engineering/MLOps
- Drive continuous improvement via new technologies, automation, and engineering excellence

Required Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related fields (MS preferred)
- 8+ years' experience in engineering roles (technical lead/software engineer/software architect)
- 5+ years' experience using AWS to architect and deploy reliable, cost-effective, scalable, secure cloud-native solutions
- Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
- Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges
- Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework, industry standards, and best practices
- Robust experience with MLOps platforms (AWS SageMaker, Kubeflow, and/or MLflow)




- Hands-on design and development experience using Python and frameworks (Flask, Django, AsyncIO)
- Understanding of distributed software applications (system integration, testing, troubleshooting)
- Experience monitoring distributed systems with error detection and recovery strategies
- Systems integration experience including APIs, real-time systems, and microservices
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes, testing frameworks, and tools (CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, Jenkins, Harness)
- Experience integrating with async messaging/logging/queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
- Strong knowledge of software development process and project management methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Team player; able to work with globally distributed teams; comfortable in a fast-moving environment
