About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MySQL Developer to join our energetic team at Shriram General Insurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions that support our business operations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of creating optimized database structures, writing efficient SQL queries, and ensuring the integrity and security of data.

The MySQL Developer will work closely with application developers, system administrators, and business analysts to deliver high-performance database systems that meet the company's evolving needs.

Qualifications The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Demonstrable experience in MySQL database architecture, administration, and performance tuning is essential. Proficiency in SQL query writing, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views is required.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of database design principles, normalization, indexing, and security practices.



Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures, as well as experience with performance monitoring and troubleshooting, will be advantageous. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and a keen analytical mindset are also important for this role.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain MySQL databases and associated objects to support business applications.
- Create, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
- Design and implement database schemas, including tables, indexes, and relationships to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Monitor database performance metrics and optimize queries and database configurations accordingly.
- Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with organizational standards through regular audits and security practices.
- Perform routine database backup, recovery, and maintenance activities to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Identify and resolve database-related issues promptly to maintain seamless application performance.
- Collaborate with software development teams and application stakeholders for effective database integration and deployment.
- Support database migration,



upgrades, and deployment activities to facilitate system enhancements.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for database structures, procedures, and best practices.
- Implement and enforce database security policies, access controls, and user permissions to safeguard sensitive data.
