About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MySQL Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, managing, and optimizing our database systems to ensure high performance, data integrity, and security. This role involves working closely with software developers, application teams, and other stakeholders to create scalable database solutions that support our business operations.

The MySQL Developer will play a crucial role in maintaining the health of our data infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and implementing best practices for database management. Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience with MySQL database architecture and administration is essential. Strong proficiency in SQL query writing, performance tuning, and optimization techniques is required.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views,



along with a solid understanding of database design principles, normalization, and indexing strategies. Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures, as well as experience with database performance monitoring and troubleshooting, is necessary. Familiarity with data security protocols and access management practices is also important.

Additionally, experience with version control systems like Git will be advantageous. The ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions is critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain MySQL databases and associated database objects to support various applications and business processes.
- Create, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
- Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
- Monitor database performance metrics and conduct tuning activities to enhance query execution and overall system responsiveness.
- Ensure the security, accuracy, and consistency of data by implementing best practices in data management and security protocols.
- Perform routine database backup, recovery, and maintenance activities to prevent data loss and ensure high availability.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.




- Collaborate with software development and application teams to facilitate seamless database integration and support new feature development.
- Assist in database migration, upgrades, and deployment activities, ensuring minimal impact on ongoing operations.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation related to database structures, configurations, and processes for future reference and compliance.
- Implement and enforce database security measures, including access controls and user management, to safeguard sensitive data.
