Role Description The South Indian Commis 2 role is a full-time, on-site position based in Karjat. The team member will assist in preparing and cooking authentic South Indian dishes, including breakfast items, main courses, snacks, and accompaniments, while following established recipes and portion sizes. Daily tasks include ingredient preparation, basic cooking, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and adhering to food safety and organic standards.

The role also involves supporting senior chefs during service, organizing mise en place, managing stock for South Indian items, and ensuring timely, consistent quality in all dishes. Collaboration with the kitchen team and openness to learning new recipes and techniques are essential.

Qualifications

- Hands-on experience in South Indian cuisine, including dosa, idli, vada, sambar, chutneys, and related dishes.
- Basic culinary skills such as chopping, marinating,



and handling kitchen equipment safely.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and adherence to organic and preservative-free cooking standards.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and instructions from senior chefs accurately and consistently.
- Strong teamwork, time management, and organizational skills, especially during busy service hours.
- Willingness to work on-site in Karjat with flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Prior experience in a skilled kitchen or hotel/restaurant setup is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic education and the ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
