Role Description The Sourcing Formulations role is a full-time, in office position based in Hyderabad. This role involves identifying, evaluating, and sourcing formulation-related materials and services, including key starting materials, advanced intermediates, APIs, and excipients for diverse dosage forms. The professional will collaborate with formulation development, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective procurement aligned with project and commercial needs.

Daily responsibilities include vendor scouting and qualification,



negotiating supply terms, managing supplier relationships, monitoring market trends and risks, and maintaining accurate sourcing documentation and data in internal systems. The role also includes supporting audits, ensuring adherence to cGMP and relevant regulatory guidelines, and contributing to continuous improvement in sourcing strategies and supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong background in pharmaceutical formulations sourcing, including experience with APIs, excipients, and packaging materials for oral solids, sterile products, and other dosage forms.
- Knowledge of CDMO operations, supply chain management, and vendor management, with the ability to evaluate suppliers on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Understanding of cGMP, regulatory requirements, and quality standards relevant to formulation sourcing across multiple regions.
- Analytical and research skills to assess market trends, risks, and alternative sourcing options, supported by proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with technical, quality, regulatory, and commercial teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related discipline; prior experience in formulation development or pharmaceutical procurement is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad, manage multiple projects in parallel, and maintain accuracy and compliance under tight timelines.
