Role Description The Solar Site Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata, responsible for overseeing the technical execution of solar power projects at project locations. The role includes conducting site surveys, supervising installation activities, coordinating with civil and structural engineers, and ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.

Engineer monitors construction quality, performs routine inspections, and supports commissioning and performance testing of solar systems. Day-to-day activities involve collaborating with project managers, vendors, and client teams, preparing site reports,



and addressing technical issues to maintain project timelines and quality benchmarks.

Qualifications

- Ability to work effectively in on-site project environments, including coordination with field teams and adherence to safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders, and for preparing clear technical documentation.
- Expertise in quality control practices related to solar installations, including inspection, compliance with standards, and performance verification.
- Knowledge of structural engineering principles relevant to mounting structures, load calculations, and stability of solar installations.
- Background as a civil engineer or in a related engineering discipline, with experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience in solar or renewable energy projects.
- Familiarity with solar PV systems, relevant codes and standards, and basic electrical safety practices.
- Proficiency with site measurement tools, basic CAD or layout software, and MS Office for reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple site tasks, and travel to project locations as required.
