Job Title

Software Developer (Ruby on Rails)

Overview

Design, develop, and test Ruby on Rails code to enhance and expand company solutions supporting current API and data product offerings. The role includes building new products, providing tooling support, and implementing automated testing across the development lifecycle. Collaboration with business and technical SMEs, project managers, and stakeholders is emphasized.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test code to enhance and expand company solutions

Required Qualifications

• Experience with systems running on the latest Ruby on Rails
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualified experience
- Full-stack web development experience, including building complete data-backed products
- Full MVC (model-view-controller) development experience
- Experience using Git productively in a team environment
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Ability to work with business and technical SMEs to understand needs and propose technical solutions
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Experience adapting to new technologies
- Collaborative mindset when working with project managers and stakeholders
- Experience with TDD (test-driven development) or strong commitment to full test coverage using modern testing methods
- Strong teamwork, communication, and empathy for users, teammates, and stakeholders
