Role Description The SMSF Accountant will be responsible for end-to-end Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) accounting, including processing transactions, preparing financial statements, and completing workpapers in line with Australian accounting and compliance requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate ledgers, reconciling investments and bank accounts, preparing tax returns and regulatory reports, and ensuring documentation meets partner review standards. The role involves collaborating with offshore client teams, responding to queries, and adhering to agreed turnaround times and quality benchmarks.

in office role based in Delhi, India, requiring consistent coordination with international clients and internal team members.

Qualifications

- Strong SMSF accounting and tax skills, including experience with SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in general accounting and bookkeeping, including ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and year-end work.
- Familiarity with Australian accounting standards, BAS/GST concepts, and payroll fundamentals is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work with accounting software and practice management tools; experience with SMSF or Australian accounting platforms is an advantage.

- Attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and commitment to producing review-ready work aligned with partner standards.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with international clients and internal teams, with good written and spoken English.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline; professional certifications are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, handle multiple engagements, and work in a structured, on-site environment in Delhi.
