Role Description The Site Civil Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in Burdwan, responsible for overseeing civil works at residential project sites. The role includes supervising construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

The Site Civil

Engineer coordinates with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and vendors to manage day-to-day site operations and resolve technical issues. Typical tasks include reviewing drawings, monitoring progress against project plans, inspecting materials and workmanship, and maintaining site documentation and reports. The role also involves supporting planning and scheduling, assisting in cost and resource management,



and ensuring timely completion of milestones in line with SMART HOMES’ quality and affordability goals.

Qualifications

- Civil Engineering fundamentals: candidates should possess strong knowledge in Civil Engineering and be capable of working effectively alongside other Civil Engineers on site.
- Design and technical skills: candidates should possess skills in Civil Engineering Design, including interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
- Planning and project coordination: candidates should possess skills in Planning, such as scheduling activities, tracking progress, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Infrastructure and services: candidates should possess skills related to Stormwater Management and basic site infrastructure design to ensure functional and compliant project delivery.
- Education and experience: candidates should possess a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and prior experience in site execution for residential or real estate projects.
- Additional capabilities: candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, familiarity with construction codes and safety practices, and proficiency in common engineering and MS Office tools.
