Role Description The Service Engineer role at AVTPL is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area.

The Service

Engineer will perform day-to-day field service activities, including installation, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance of utility systems such as compressed air, water, steam, fire lines, and related equipment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing technical issues, executing repairs, providing technical support to customers,



and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. The role involves regular site visits, documentation of service activities, coordination with the internal engineering team, and clear communication with clients to explain findings, recommendations, and preventive actions.

The Service

Engineer will also support continuous improvement, adhere to safety standards, and contribute to high customer satisfaction across multiple industry sectors.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for diagnosing and resolving issues in utility systems.
- Candidates should possess Field Service and Maintenance & Repair skills for on-site installation, commissioning, and upkeep of equipment.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with customers, documenting work, and collaborating with internal teams.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience working with industrial utilities (air, water, steam, fire systems, or similar) in manufacturing or process industries is an advantage.
- Ability to read technical drawings, use diagnostic tools, and follow safety procedures and standards.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, willingness to travel within the Kolkata metropolitan area and nearby regions, and ability to work independently on customer sites.
