Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Travel Tour Counsellor - FIT to join our team in Pune.

This is a full-time, on-site role for someone who enjoys speaking with travellers, understanding their requirements and designing personalised Domestic and International FIT holidays.

The role goes beyond simply booking hotels and flights. You will be responsible for understanding the traveller, suggesting the right destination and experiences, designing the itinerary, preparing the proposal and costing, converting the enquiry and coordinating the booking through to completion.

You will work on a wide range of travel requirements including:

- Customised Domestic and International holidays
- Family holidays
- Honeymoon and couple holidays
- Luxury and premium holidays
- Offbeat travel
- Wildlife and safari holidays
- Adventure and experiential travel
- Corporate and leisure travel
- Inbound travel requirements

Key Responsibilities

- Consult with travellers to understand their interests, budget, travel dates, purpose and expectations.
- Design customised FIT itineraries that are practical, interesting and commercially viable.
- Recommend suitable destinations, hotels, experiences, sightseeing, transfers and routing.
- Prepare detailed itineraries, proposals and accurate quotations.
- Handle the complete enquiry cycle from initial enquiry to booking confirmation.




- Follow up with prospective clients and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Coordinate and book flights, hotels, transfers, activities, sightseeing and other travel services.
- Coordinate visa assistance and travel insurance requirements wherever applicable.
- Work closely with hotels, DMCs, airlines, ground handlers and other suppliers.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the right combination of price, quality and service.
- Maintain accurate booking and customer information in the CRM and relevant travel systems.
- Coordinate with the Operations team to ensure smooth execution of confirmed holidays.
- Stay connected with clients before, during and after their travel.
- Handle customer concerns and coordinate timely resolution of service issues.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients and encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Keep updated with destinations, hotels, travel trends, new experiences and supplier offerings.
- Work towards individual and team sales and conversion targets.
- Contribute ideas to improve sales processes, customer experience and product offerings.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a confident and experienced travel professional who can independently manage FIT enquiries and create travel solutions rather than simply sell standard packages.

The ideal candidate should have:

- 3+ years of relevant experience in a Travel Agency, Tour Operator, DMC or Travel Company.
- Strong experience in Domestic and/or International FIT sales.
- Good knowledge of destinations, hotels, suppliers and travel services.
- Experience in designing customised itineraries and holiday packages.
- Good understanding of routing, costing, hotel selection and travel logistics.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to understand customer requirements through effective questioning and active listening.
- Strong negotiation, follow-up and conversion skills.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries and bookings simultaneously.
- Good attention to detail and ownership of assigned enquiries.
- Working knowledge of GDS, airline portals,



hotel booking systems and other travel technology is an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, email, internet and CRM systems.
- Ability to work in a target-driven, team-oriented environment.
