Role Description The Senior Tax Accountant is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for managing all direct and indirect tax activities, including tax planning, tax preparation, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and filing tax returns, preparing tax provisions, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits with accurate documentation.

Accountant will collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure financial statements reflect correct tax treatments and to identify opportunities for tax efficiency. The role also involves monitoring changes in tax legislation, advising management on tax implications of business decisions, and implementing best practices in tax processes and controls.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Tax, Tax Compliance, and Tax Preparation.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Accounting principles and Financial Statements.
- Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Several years of experience in corporate or public tax accounting, preferably in the hospitality or real estate sector.
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software, advanced Excel skills, and strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail, integrity in handling confidential information, and the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex tax issues to non-finance stakeholders.
