Department: Steel Melting Shop (Induction Furnace)| Location: SRP, Ramgarh | Reports to: Unit Head - SMS

Purpose: Maximise availability of induction furnaces, CCM and auxiliaries through planned maintenance, rapid breakdown response and permanent elimination of repeat failures.

Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)

Experience: 12-15 years in SMS (induction furnace) maintenance of furnaces and continuous casting machines.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all SMS equipment.
- Plan and control furnace coil replacement, tilting hydraulics, panel cooling and crucible life.
- Maintain CCM systems — mould oscillation, withdrawal, cooling and cutting.
- Maintain EOT cranes, ladles, dust extraction, compressors and water systems.
- Own shutdown scope, manpower, spares and duration planning.
- Drive root-cause elimination of repeat breakdowns; maintain equipment history cards.
- Define critical spares with Stores; enforce old-part return against every replacement issue.
- Enforce LOTO, work permits and statutory testing of cranes and lifting tackle.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
