Job Title: Senior Security Automation Engineer

Location: Offshore - (Remote) INDIA

Level: Senior Engineer The Senior Security Automation Engineer is a senior builder on Experian Health's new Security Automation & Engineering team, within the Product Security (Security Mavens) program. This role designs and builds the automation, scripting, and agentic-AI workflows that remove security and infrastructure toil and protect Billable Coding Effort (BCE).

This is a hands-on engineering role with a high degree of AI and automation focus. The Senior Engineer takes ambiguous, manual, recurring security work and turns it into durable automated pipelines. The overarching goal is to reduce risk faster, at lower cost, and with less manual efforts. The role also mentors a junior engineer and helps set the team's engineering standards.

The role works closely with the onshore Director and the broader Mavens team to translate requirements into solutions and operates within clear AI guardrails for data handling and human review.

Summary of Primary Responsibilities

- Build automation pipelines. Design, build, and maintain automation for vulnerability remediation, patching, configuration compliance, evidence collection, and reporting.
- Engineer agentic AI workflows. Build LLM/agent-based workflows (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) that accelerate security operations, with human-in-the-loop review and sanitized inputs.
- Integrate security into delivery. Embed SAST/DAST and security checks into CI/CD pipelines and build self-service guardrails that let dev teams move quicker and safer.




- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code. Author and maintain IaC modules (Terraform/CloudFormation) for secure, repeatable infrastructure.
- Reduce technical debt. Automate OS/EOL lifecycle and recurring remediation work and eliminate manual toil at the source.
- Mentor and uphold standards. Review code, mentor the junior engineer, and help maintain scripting, IaC, and AI-usage standards.
- Partner and translate. Work with the Director and Mavens to turn security requirements into shipped, automated solutions.

Required Skills & Technical Capabilities

- Scripting & languages: Strong Python and/or PowerShell and/or Bash.
- Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- CI/CD & DevSecOps: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent pipeline security integration experience
- Cloud: AWS (compute, IAM, networking) and cloud security fundamentals.
- Agentic AI / LLMs: Hands-on experience applying enterprise AI to automation workflows (strong plus).
- Data & integration: REST APIs, SQL/PostgreSQL, data pipelines and reporting.
- Security tooling: Familiarity with vulnerability scanners (Tenable/Qualys), SAST/DAST, and SIEM.

Qualifications

- 5+ years in automation engineering, security engineering, DevOps/DevSecOps, or related hands-on roles.
- Demonstrated portfolio of automation that removed meaningful manual effort.
- Relevant security, cloud, or automation certifications a plus.
- Experience in regulated or healthcare environments a plus.
- Solid written communication and ability to collaborate across time zones with an onshore lead.
