Job Summary – Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – Optum

- Develop, own, and evolve advanced test automation frameworks, with a focus on Playwright JS and cloud-based test platforms.
- Leverage AI-assisted testing tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio) to generate and enhance test cases, optimize regression suites, and accelerate automation development.
- Build internal QA enablement applications and agent-based workflows to boost self-service testing and reduce manual QA efforts across teams.
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive automated tests for functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing (using tools like JMeter and Postman).
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and QA leadership to define automation strategy, quality standards, and best practices.




- Drive adoption of QA productivity tooling and AI-driven testing approaches to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Conduct manual and exploratory testing to uncover complex edge cases and usability issues.
- Mentor junior QA engineers in automation, AI-assisted testing, and contemporary QA practices.
- Provide quality metrics, readiness assessments, and status reporting to stakeholders.
- Support release planning and execution within agile, distributed teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies, including low-code/no-code and AI tooling, to enhance QA productivity and scalability.
