We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in API testing using Rest Assured with Java to design, build, and maintain our core test automation framework. In this role, you will lead the quality efforts across complex backend services, integrate automated suites into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with product and development teams to translate functional requirements into scalable test solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Framework Design & Maintenance: Architecture, build, and maintain scalable, reusable API test automation frameworks using Rest Assured, Java, TestNG/JUnit, and Maven/Gradle.
- API & Web Automation: Write maintainable automated test scripts for RESTful web services, validating HTTP methods, payloads, authentication models (OAuth2, Bearer tokens), and complex JSON/XML responses.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins pipelines for Continuous Testing, configuring job triggers, automated execution schedules, and detailed reporting.
- Requirements Analysis & Test Planning: Analyze functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria to design robust test strategies, comprehensive test plans, and detailed test cases.
- Version Control & Collaboration: Manage test code repositories using Git and platform workflows (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket), following clean code practices, branch strategies, and pull request reviews.
- Defect Management: Identify, log, track,



and isolate software defects using tools like Jira; collaborate directly with developers to drive root-cause analysis and timely resolution.
- Quality Leadership & Communication: Act as a technical quality advocate across cross-functional teams, explaining complex technical concepts clearly to both business and technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Technical Expertise:
- Core Java: Deep understanding of OOPs concepts, collections framework, exception handling, and multi-threading.
- Rest Assured: Advanced hands-on experience using Rest Assured for API response validation, JSON/XML parsing (Jackson/Gson), and schema validation.
- CI/CD & DevOps Tools: Solid hands-on experience configuring and executing test suites via Jenkins.
- Version Control: Strong proficiency with Git (branching models, merging, resolving conflicts).
- Build & Test Tools: Mastery of Maven/Gradle, TestNG/JUnit, and reporting tools (Extent Reports, Allure).
- Soft Skills & Domain Knowledge:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail when breaking down complex requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with Developers, Product Managers, and Client Teams.
- Ability to work independently in an Agile/Scrum workplace and mentor junior team members.

Preferred / Good to Have

- Exposure to UI automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver).
- Basic understanding of Docker or containerized execution environments.
- Knowledge of Performance testing tools (JMeter)
