Role – Senior Project Manager – AI Delivery

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on Senior Project Manager to drive predictable, high-quality delivery across AI-powered products, platforms, and digital transformation projects. This role goes beyond project tracking and reporting: the successful candidate will establish delivery discipline, proactively manage risks and dependencies, and help Novacis Digital evolve its delivery practices as the organization scales.

The ideal candidate has experience working in both startup/high-growth and mature, process-oriented environments, and has personally helped teams or organizations move from relatively informal delivery practices toward scalable, measurable, and predictable Agile delivery. The role requires someone who can balance strong governance and accountability with the speed, flexibility, and ambiguity inherent in a startup environment.

The Project Manager will own end-to-end delivery from project initiation through successful release and closure, working closely with Product, Engineering, AI/ML, Data, QA, DevOps, Solution Architecture, customers, and senior leadership. The expectation is to build the delivery operating discipline—not simply administer an existing process.

What You'll Do

- End-to-End Project Management: Lead the complete lifecycle of AI and digital projects from initiation, discovery/planning, execution, deployment, and closure.
- Project Planning & Delivery Predictability: Establish scope, milestones, estimates, delivery commitments, critical paths, dependencies, and execution plans; continuously assess progress against commitments.
- Agile Delivery & Backlog Management: Drive effective backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning; partner with Product Managers to manage priorities, scope, and acceptance criteria.
- Release & Delivery Management: Coordinate releases, milestone closures, deployment readiness, UAT, and production handoffs while ensuring quality and schedule commitments are met.
- Risk, Issue & Dependency Management: Establish proactive risk and issue management; identify schedule, resource, technology, data, client, and dependency risks; drive mitigation, ownership, and timely escalation.
- Resource Planning & Utilization: Plan capacity, allocate resources, monitor utilization, identify constraints early, and work with leadership to resolve resource and prioritization conflicts.
- Stakeholder & Client Management: Align customers, business stakeholders, Product, Engineering, AI/ML, Data, QA, DevOps, and leadership; communicate status, risks, trade-offs, and decisions clearly.
- Delivery Governance & Quality: Establish pragmatic governance, quality checkpoints, project health reporting, release-readiness criteria, and management visibility across scope, schedule, quality, resources, and risk.
- Project Monitoring & Reporting: Build meaningful delivery dashboards and operating rhythms that provide leadership with an accurate view of project health, emerging risks, dependencies, and required interventions.
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams to understand software development, AI/ML,



data, cloud, integration, testing, and deployment dependencies and to support informed delivery decisions.
- Process Design & Maturity: Assess current delivery practices, identify gaps, and implement lightweight, scalable standards for planning, estimation, risk management, quality, governance, and release management.
- Continuous Improvement: Use retrospectives, root-cause analysis, delivery metrics, and lessons learned to improve delivery efficiency, predictability, quality, and accountability across projects.
- Hands-on Delivery Leadership: Step into challenging project situations, remove blockers, drive decisions, and coach teams and stakeholders on effective delivery practices rather than limiting the role to project administration.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 12+ years of overall experience, with significant experience in technical project/program delivery and software development environments
- Strong hands-on experience managing Agile/Scrum projects through planning, execution, release, and closure.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning, schedule management, backlog/sprint management, resource planning, risk/issue management, and delivery governance.
- Proven experience establishing or improving project delivery processes, standards, operating rhythms, or governance mechanisms.
- Demonstrated experience working in a startup, scale-up, or high-growth technology environment.
- Experience working in a mature, process-oriented technology organization and ability to translate useful practices into a pragmatic startup operating model.
- Evidence of helping a team or organization evolve toward more mature, predictable, and measurable delivery practices.
- Strong technology/software delivery background and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and technical teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management and Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or MS Project.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing AI/ML, data/analytics, cloud, enterprise software, or digital transformation projects.
- US Healthcare or healthcare technology project experience.
- Experience establishing or operating within PMO / delivery governance frameworks.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master (CSM/PSM), or equivalent certification.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, cloud platforms, software quality engineering, or production release processes.
- Exposure to compliance, security, quality, or regulated technology delivery environments.
- Experience with multi-project portfolio, capacity, budget, or vendor management.
